Jon is an award-winning sound designer and composer creating immersive, compelling music & sound designs for screen and audio storytelling.
Drawing on a huge range of eclectic influences and an extensive network of outstanding instrumentalists, he composes and records music in a wide range of hybrid styles ranging from sweeping orchestral music to electronica, choral writing and intimate acoustic textural work.
Specialising in spatial and immersive audio techniques including Dolby Atmos, his sound design work ranges from audio drama, podcasts and VR to work with contemporary music and opera ensembles.
His awards include winning Best Use Of Sound at the 2022 BBC Audio Drama Awards; he was nominated again in 2023, and is a finalist in the upcoming 2025 awards.
His recent clients and collaborators include the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky, the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, Audible and leading independent audio producers.
