Anthony Weigh’s new adaptation set Lorca’s scorching classic of frustration, jealousy, sexual tension and death in an anonymous, arid landscape.

Avoiding any trace of Spanish-ness, the score drew deeply on North African, Middle Eastern and South American traditional music to create a raw yet lyrical soundworld from ‘everywhere and nowhere’, mixing found percussion, intricate soundscapes and the talents of James Hesford on cello and violin.
